During a book reading of ‘Modi@20’ in the US, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called out the politics that was played out following the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
After Article 370 was repealed, Jammu and Kashmir became subject to 890 central laws, while 250 unfair state legislation were eliminated. Additional 130 state legislation have changed. The elimination of certain hurdles has led to a conducive business atmosphere
Azad said that he has made it clear that his party will reach out to the people on developmental issues only and they will not raise sentimental or religious issues to gather votes in coming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We are not on the roads or misleading the public or taking the law in our hands for restoration of Article 370. We will continue our fight democratically, constitutionally and politically and it is our right,” said Omar Abdullah.
